Elizabeth's affinity for food comes naturally. Her mother was a skilled cook and  as one of Toronto’s first female Maitre’d’s in the 1960’s she introduced Elizabeth to gourmet cuisine at a young age. From her father she learned how to make a great meal with leftovers and whatever was on hand.

In 1986 Elizabeth moved to the Rocky Mountains and graduated from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology Culinary Arts program with honours in 1991. She is a Red Seal, Journeyman. When she moved to Jasper with her husband Rob in 1993 she knew she had found her home.

Elizabeth’s culinary career has encompassed many styles and includes the Banff Springs Hotel, Giorgio’s and the Jasper Park Lodge as well as a tenure in a specialty game restaurant and camp cooking.  She loves camping and adventure and was in charge of organizing the food and cooking for several 3 week Grand Canyon rafting expeditions.  She is also an experienced server with many years of front line experience under her belt.

It was her desire to have more contact with the people that she cooks for that led to the creation of Dinner for You Personal Chef Service in 2000. The personal chef is the answer to the cry for help from busy people looking for a less stressful and healthy alternative to eating on the go.

Elizabeth is proud to bring her passion for cooking into the homes of Jasperites. Her customized menus are created specifically for each and every event.
